Volunteers at Fox

Volunteers contribute to our school community in many ways!

Columbus High student Libby Paul collected lightly used and new books from friends and family in order for students at our school and others to have books of their own. She brought books several times during the summer lunch program and again before the holiday break. Libby's outreach continued after her graduation with Laura Kate who brought books and more student volunteers to read to Boys & Girls Club students after school.

The Macon Road Publix recruited volunteers from Publix stores in our region to make a huge impact on our school on April 2, 2019 as part of Publix Serves Day! Publix employees installed a Little Free Library, cleaned our playground, installed planters at the school entrance, planted around our historic sign, painted our media center, and completed several other projects. In addition, Publix generously prepares cakes for 5th graders who complete Lexia, sends volunteers to PBIS celebrations like our holiday store and fall festival, and provides snacks throughout the year.

Students at Wynnbrook Christian School chose Fox as the recipient of their Book Fair service project. Students donated throughout the Book Fair so that all students in our 2nd and 3rd Grade classes in addition to Mrs. Lewis's class could receive a brand new book to call their own. Wynnbrook 1st Graders visited Fox on Friday, March 1, 2019 and participated in Read Across America readings by their media specialist and United Way volunteers. Our students loved the gift of books!

Over summer 2019, SPARK Art refreshed bathrooms by painting positive messages that are seen by students every day. Students were surprised to see the new look on the first day of school!
